| a non-profit dojo teaching traditional karate in the heart of San Francisco |
The San Francisco Dojo is an affiliate of Shotokan Karate of America ("SKA"), a national non-profit organization teaching karate since 1955. Our purpose is to improve ourselves through our practice and to perpetuate our art. People 14 or older of any level or gender are welcome to come train with us. All instructors are black-belts certified by Ohshima-Sensei. Karate practice promotes mental and physical health, improving one's self-confidence, balance, connection and strength. We encourage you to take part!
